WHAT IS IN A NAME!

The idea of starting 'KAI' struck me 3 months back, in New York, when the uncle told me that he didn’t have any relative to consult for a realty investment. (See the page, ‘KAI Nuggets – money matters). I coined the name, Kannan Ananth Insights & shortened it as KAI.

Then I saw the coincidence. In my karmabhoomi, Maharashtra, the word refers to an enquiry, a question. In my janmabhoomi, Tamilnadu, the word means a hand. Hand is used for a help or a guide. A helping hand or a guiding hand post.

But an amazing coincidence I see is in the naming of the basic unit of time, the DAY.

This year is called AD 2015 by a westerner. 'Jaya' in south Indian Tamil. I do not know if there are names for the year in Marathi. The months are named, Jan, Feb, Mar... by a westerner. Margazhi, Thai, Masi,…. by a south Indian. Shravan, Ashad,… by a Maharashtrian. I do not see any connection or correlation.

Whereas, take a day. 'Saturday' by westerner is named ‘Shaniwar’ by a north Indian & ‘Sani kizhamai’ by a south Indian! All referring to the same planet AND for the same day!

Ditto for Sunday, Raviwar, Gnayiru. Monday, Somwar, Thingal. So forth.

Has the creator played a role in unifying the minds of entire humanity? Is there a spiritual link, so that these planets rule the days? How nice it would have been & what a beautiful place the world would have been, had the same force helped us in naming of myriads of religions all over the earth!!
